"The dragonboat is 1.5 tonnes. so it
will not capsize!" Says, instructor when we board the boat.
wtf? ha. we still capsized in the end. wtf lah!
we were doing the water confidence activity-- sitting on the edge of the boat and rock the boat. Yeah. we rocked until water started gushing into the boat and capsized. mind u, it turned towards my side. meaning my back were in the water and people started falling on me. something like tau pok! wtf! haha. i was trying my best to stay afloat on water when grace and one more girl were tau poking on me. i was pushed under the water. i couldn't breathe. My first thought was. wtf, i dun want to die so early. i finally surfaced up and trying to get away from the boat. i felt my slippers were drifting away. okay. those weren't mine. those were eng swee. that's why they float away cos they are too big.i quickly grabbed them back and passed them to the instructor den i saw jodie crying. i swarm towards her and hold her hands, calming her... den get on to the other boat. was injured. scratches all over my legs. they were bleeding. somemore the wounds were soak in sea water. wad could be worse than this? soo many people were jealous of us lah! cos we capsized and they didnt.
Before getting down to the boat, we were still saying that we couldnt be tt lucky to capsize, so safety vest need not to be so tight. we were still talking about 5 dragonboaters were drowned. when we paddle towards the shears bridge, the water was dirty and we were saying tt we dun wan to capsize there. yet we still ended up in the dirty water, drinking dirty water. =( did i mention that there is dead rats, dead insects and corpse in kallang river? omg. i drank in all the bacteria, bacteria of rotting animals and people. the thought of it just irks me
But overall dragonboating is fun and i will try dragonboating again if i have the chance to
